As many of you have seen, Eaton Rapids Heart and Hands and our eviction situation was featured in the news yesterday.
We reiterate and express our gratitude to First Baptist of Eaton Rapids for the over 20 years of support, both financially and for allowing us to operate in their building.
To address any confusion that there may be. The mission and vision of Eaton Rapids Heart and Hands has not changed in the many years we have operated. We have always been, and continue to be, a Christian organization that seeks to spread the hope of Jesus through the giving of food, and other necessities, free of charge to those in need. As a Christian ministry, we also build relationships with our clients that often lead us to pray for them and encourage them. Our Christian values are central to the mission that we have, and in the many years of our ministry, we have never compromised those values, nor do we plan to.
To those who may be concerned about our services, we are 100% committed to continuing those services into the foreseeable future. We have been offered many options by the community, and we are so grateful for the support you all have shown. As our board weighs the options in front of us, we ask you to please pray for wisdom in the days to come. There are many factors to consider when choosing a new location, and we are weighing every option so the ministry we do by serving this community can be done both strategically and with excellence.
At this time, the best way to support us is through prayer and giving. We have created a link on our website that allows you to donate financially to Eaton Rapids Heart and Hands. Please give as you are able, and pray without reserve. Regardless of where our location will be, our costs are going to go up, so we will need the extra financial support in the days to come.
To all those who have supported us financially and continue to do so, we thank you for your unwavering support during this time. We also thank the Eaton Rapids community for your support. The messages, feedback, and solutions from the community have blessed us so much. It is good to know we are supported and loved so much by this community that we’ve served for so many years. We are excited to see how God works this out both for His Glory and for the good of our community.
With love, The Board of Eaton Rapids Heart and Hands
